equipped with the stuff i was able to bring over from turkey and some furniture grandma joyce gave us, we put together a living environment for us that will keep us happy and grounded at least until we take that road trip to Cambridge, MA to finish up D's MBA and get ourselves situated somewhere. here's what the room looks like.

I have been good, but a lot busy at work. I end up spending my weekends too at work.

I am trying my best to watch the Oscar and the Golden Globe nominees this year. So far finished 'Gran Torino', 'The Reader', 'Slumdog Millionaire' and 'The Wrestler'...

What plans for the weekend, driving around the new place?

i wore a black vintage-look dress. ozgur was so cute, and so was kursat. i love them so much, they made me feel so good about everything before and after the gig. we are a team now. just when i'm ready to go, i feel i belong somewhere. i guess that's the way of things here, i.e, life. some songs we liked doing and did well: smooth operator (it felt like an unplugged version of sade's, very cool) come rain or come shine (bluesy, soo delicious) almost blue (i almost cried, seriously) angel eyes (always) devil may care (i gave it a tad bit of melancholic flavor, i liked it) spooky (fun-ky) i was tense. in spite of the crowd who was there to really listen to me, at "my jubilee" as we called it. you gotta leave it at a height. i ended up taking a cab back home on my own at 2 a.m. the measure of just how lonely i am in this city.

A famous handmade glassware company, Heisey went out of business in the 1950s but still sends passionate collectors hunting the Holy Grail of their own: the perfect piece, the dream Heisey of each individual collector. I am lucky enough to conduct an interview with a very knowledgeable and long-time collector, as well as lucky enough to be around her rich and beautiful collection every day, as she is my grandmother-in-law.
