We had a fine Saturday picking out pashminas, bargaining for corals and walking around the Grand Bazaar. That's where we met my aunt, which was a smart idea because you get to know people so much better when you share an experience. In this case I was glad my aunt got to know my husband a little better, since he's so sweet and fun to hang out with. Doug and I then had a little dinner at Hamdi. I was curious about the place for a long time. No more. I didn't like anything except the soup, and I couldn't be sure what was so special about the place. It's overrated.
Now I'm tired and just sitting here uploading photos and listening to Lady Day.
This blog holds my inner conversations. It's that gentle push to blink open your eyes and get going. Think earthly possessions or a simple recipe. Think coffee. This is a blog pulling the lurex threads in an otherwise ordinary piece of fabric.
