summer

it was a too darn hot morning when i dragged doug running. right now, i've fixed myself a platter of dutch cheese, one ripe tomato and two slices of Paul bread and i'm sitting at the desk by the window. it is drizzling rain outside with a nice hushed sound; there is a cool mist now, and hyrangeas in front of my window. there, the smell of the rain comes too and the sun pops up again. it's an undecided, lazy morning/noon/day for all of us. it is good to be back at home although i may not feel it when i'm working all day, and it has been good to go out and explore new things as well as catch up with old things. hydrangeas might just be the best thing about summer, while tomatoes, about life. my life, at least.
